PC Hardware Requirements

Recommended Minimum Requirements for EdgeCAM and EdgeCAM Part Modeler

Minimum  requirements for EdgeCAM are:

• Current Intel Pentium compatible processor i.e. Pentium 4, Intel XEON or AMD Athlon processor
• 512 Mb RAM minimum (1Gb for advanced systems)
• 1Gb free disk space
• Windows 2000 Pro or XP Pro with the latest service packs & Vista
• Graphics card capable of 1280 x 1024 high color setting and 64Mb memory*
• 17" color monitor (minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 1024)
• Mouse including wheel (Intellimouse)
• Internet Explorer 5 or above
• Parallel or USB port for EdgeCAM security key
• Optional: SpaceBall and SpaceMouse more info

EdgeCAM will install and run on Windows XP Home Edition. However, this is not recommended and we cannot guarantee to fix any EdgeCAM issues specifically relating to this operating system.

The installation program will not allow installation on Windows NT4, 95, 98 or ME.

* 256Mb Video Memory recommended for best performance. Cards with the NVidia chipset are preferred
